Energy Courses
In the Energy Institute, we manage a number of courses, mostly they are in modular form, consisting of courses emphasizing fundamentals and analytical tools as well as courses focused on specific technology. Three of these are core courses required for the MEng degree in Energy Economics and for students enrolled in the Earth Energy IGERT program, but are open to all students at Cornell as they provide an overview of topics in energy. To supplement these core courses we have modules which cover special topics on energy supply and utilization, for example, fossil fuels, solar energy, geothermal energy, and transportation systems. These courses are also open to all students at Cornell. In some cases there may be pre-requisits, but a discussion with the instructor can often alleviate this constraint. Please refer to the course catalog to see when the courses are offered as well as the current offering tab on our education page. Below, enrolled students will find the course websites they need to access the course materials.
